Hello to all MSSL members and their families….

Welcome to the first report of the new year… 2024.

Not too much to report this month.

We had to deal with a postponement to finish the end of season tournament due to rain.

Matt Kraemer’s Kruds continued their winning ways as they added to their regular season championship with their winning the end of season tournament.  Jimmie Clark/Nick Thompson’s team came in second.

The Fall Season was a great success story. Until almost the last week in the season, 7 of the 9 teams were in contention to win it all.  As I mentioned in the past, the managers and their drafting abilities became apparent with the balance in the league. Good job managers.

The Spring Season 2024 draft was held with the compliments of Jack Buss.  The Fall Season 2024 will be held in late August and will be held at Bill Olsen’s restaurant in Murrieta.  Actual date to be advised.  Thanks in advance Bill.

As we begin with the Spring Season 2024, we will have a different billing arrangement with Valley Wide Parks and Recreation. We are going to a monthly billing system. To make it work, we have had to make some adjustments to our schedule.  The bottom line is that it will be better for the MSSL.

Unfortunately, we said good-bye to Mrs. Bob Olsen (Pamela) and Mrs. Richard Poppoff (Carol) after long illnesses. May they rest in peace. Our thoughts and prayers to Bob and Richard.

Because of the rain due next week, we will postpone the start of the 2024 Spring Season. Stay tuned.
