Hello again….

On Thursday, July 11, 2024, the four summer league mangers and a few others met at Archibald’s to discuss the progress of the first week and some continuing issues.  The following items were discussed.

1)..Wet fields, especially field # 2 (left field) remain to be very wet.  This issue has been passed on to city management.
2)..Extended fencing above the current height will be discussed later in the summer season.
3)..No need for additional fees for the summer season, but will be discussed for the fall season.
4)..The city does not have double bases for first base.  Brian Crozier has an alternative that he will present on Tuesday, July 16.
5)..All striping has been passed on to city maintenance.  Only one outstanding item (The 10 foot pitching area).
6)..Bin location has been established for the immediate future.  Chained outside in the spectator area.
7)..Due to lack of shade over parts of the dugouts, Bob will bring two tarps from the Wheatfield days on Tues, July 16.  They will need to be put up daily and then stored in the equipment bin.
8)..Discussed the subject of walks.  No final determination made.
9)..Discussed home runs.  No final determination made.
10)..The local managers/BOD meeting is scheduled for July30, 2024. (Frank and Randy’s committee).
11)..Next board meeting is scheduled for August 8, 2024.  The room at Archibald’s has been reserved.
