To all MSSL ballplayers….

1). Your old/new board has been hard at work getting ready for the Fall Season 2025. We are re-organizing and downsizing the board.  Basically, we are going to reduce to 5 members only and the President of the Board.  We are going to have a Vice President, a treasurer and a secretary to lead us and 2 board members. This will be done through attrition and elections as necessary. For current members whose term doesn’t expire until 2026, they will remain on the board. Watch for additional information as it becomes available.  Below is the new board.

2). Bill French has done a tremendous job in researching options for new playing fields and league fees. He had options of league fees as shown. Keep in mind that these are yearly fees and not just seasonal. Audie Murphy field: $100.00; Diamond Valley: $150.00; Big League Dreams: $200.00. The board has chosen to play at Audie Murphy.

We realize that we have some challenges with Audie Murphy, but the board thought it was the best choice. The schedule is in the final process with games beginning at 0830 with 2 games following at 1000 and 1130. With our 8 teams, 2 teams will be on a bye each Tuesday and Thursday. First game will be on September 16, 2025, followed by 3 bye dates (to allow our teammates to be at the Las Vegas tournament).  September bye dates will be September 18th. 23rd and 25th. We are planning 3 practice games on those bye dates.  Details to follow…  

3). The team draft will be on September 12, 2026, most likely at Bill Olsen’s restaurant.  It is scheduled for 0900.

4). The master draft sheet has been prepared by Ted Bennett, Randy Schaaf and Bill French.  This is the last draft that you will be allowed to pick your assistant before the draft.  In the future, you will have to draft your assistant.  Please see the revised rules and procedures in the league Rules and Regulations.

5). We are still looking for 2 more managers.  If you wish to manage, contact Bob with your proposed assistants.  For the 6 current managers, please advise your assistants at your earliest convenience to Bob also.  Thank you.

6). Please bear with us as we go through this difficult transition period.  It is going to be challenging but I believe with the new board that we have in place, and the fantastic players in our league, we can get through it together.
