Hello everyone…….

Due to time of year and workload it was necessary for me to combine both reports into one.

AUGUST 2024

1).. We lost very long time MSSL member Bob Altes this month.  He was a tremendous ballplayer and person.  RIP Bobby as you look down on us and watch us play the game that you loved.  We love it right along with you.

2)..We moved to a new park for our summer season.  Centennial Park in the City of Menifee.  We played a 14 game season.  We added about 7-8 new players that will follow us into the 2024 Summer Season.  It was considered a success.

3).. We had our monthly Board meeting and the minutes can be found on the website.  The password was changed, so see a MSSL board member for the new code.

4)..We also had the 2024 Fall Season draft.  It was held at Wheatfield Park.  8 teams with 12 players each.  Lets play ball.


SEPTEMBER 2024

1)..Welcome to our experiment of adopting a schedule that will allow for time off during the annual SSUSA World Tournament in Las Vegas.  The value of doing this will be discussed at the next board meeting in October to consider if we continue to do it. Pass your comments onto any board member for inclusion.

2)..We originally postponed opening day on Sept 10 to September 24 to avoid the heat wave.  It proved to be a great decision due to the local fires and resulting ash.  We still plan to get the complete 21 game Fall Season in.

3)..The season opened on September 24 as planned and the 8 games that have been played have been fantastic.  All the new players that we gained in the summer have joined us along with several that have returned.

4)..Our board authorized a new 2 page form to update our master list (last one was in 2022) and to include a waiver form. Your managers have them and they must be returned before the games of Thursday, October 1, 2024.
