MSSL: Commissioner’s Report – February 2022

)..I really dislike starting a monthly newsletter with some sad news. We have lost a legendary MSSL member. We have lost Art Fisch. He is now playing softball in heaven with all that proceeded him. I think they have a really good team up there.

)..We are now about a third of the way through season number 2 at DVL. Things are going well. Our 10 teams are coming along and I believe the standings will soon begin to even out. John Sennett is still cruising along, but several teams are hot on his heels. Go get him.

)..Our March Board of Directors meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, 2022, after the games. All MSSL members are invited to attend. We will discussing the proposed new substitution rule amongst many other important things.

)..Daylight savings time will begin on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Good thing we don’t have any games that day.

)..And don’t forget to wear green on Thursday, March 17, 2022. It will be OK to put a “tad” of green on your uniform. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.

)..I have a copy of the SSUSA newsletter that I will forward sometime tomorrow. There might be something in it that will interest you. Maybe not.

)..I will have another report next month. I hope you anxiously await it.
